The Australian Bon Jovi Tribute Show
What a weekend! We were lucky enough to play host to the incredible Australian Bon Jovi Tribute Show and as always the boys delivered a truly electric performance.
Over 380 people attended the show and according to all reports, everyone was out for a good time – the amount of dancing and singing we saw was testament to that!
In fact, we’ve never received so much positive feedback for one show, with attendees raving about how spot on the band sounded. One particular ticket holder even revealed that he’d seen Bon Jovi perform in real life, but had a better time at the All Seasons tribute show thanks to easy bar access, plenty of room to boogie and a perfect view of the band in action!
Thanks to everyone who came along, we hope you all enjoyed the night as much as we did!

Amanda & Ashley’s Traditional Wedding

Names: Amanda Pino and Ashley Sim
Tell us a little about the two of you!
We first met through mutual friends at a New Year’s Eve party while studying at university in Bendigo, but we didn’t meet properly until the following year, on a typical uni night out with a few drinks at the Brougham Arms. After a good dose of liquid courage, Ash decided that he’d say hello and we hit it off from there.
Now I work for the Bendigo & Adelaide Bank and Ash works as a Structural Engineer for a local firm Shane Muir Consulting Engineers.
Can you tell us about the proposal?
After returning from our first overseas trip together to the US, Ash decided that it was time to ask the big question. He had sneakily picked up the ring, asked my dad the important questions and when I went back to work a day earlier than Ash, he was running around crazily to organize the proposal. Ash was supposed to cook me dinner that night and instead suggested we get take away. After eating fried food for most of our trip, I was not impressed. Seriously, what had he been doing all day?!
The next day Ash organized to get me out of the house for an hour or so to set everything up. When I opened the door on my return, the house had been filled with rose petals and candles. Ash then gave me a book that he had made of our trip, with the final page of the book asking ‘the question’ – the book even had the beer cap inside from the beers he had with Dad when he asked for his permission! Ash got down on one knee with the ring and of course I said yes!.
How did you choose your venue/s?
We visited a few venues around Bendigo but as soon as we walked into the Fernery Room at the All Seasons, we knew that this was the venue for us. The room boasts elegance with the beautiful chandelier featured in the middle of the room, the Grand piano in the corner and of course the perfect backdrop of the Fernery. The room was exactly what we were after to suit our personalities. It was also very convenient that the All Seasons has accommodation on site, which was a bit of peace-of-mind as the majority of our guests had to travel.
Tell us about your ceremony?
120 of our closest family and friends celebrated our marriage with us. We were married with traditional vows at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo. The Cathedral is so beautiful as is, there wasn’t anything we needed to do to “dress” it up.
Tell us about the reception (eg. styling, food, venue )
Jen, Chevron and the staff at the All Seasons did a phenomenal job in making our reception everything we wanted it to be. Jen met with us on several occasions to ensure she knew exactly what we were after and went above and beyond to achieve this – no request was too hard. The food was presented beautifully and was delicious. Everything ran so smoothly and we were made to feel incredibly special as soon as we arrived at the reception. We were so lucky to have had the wonderful, professional staff at the All Seasons to help with our special day.

Did your wedding have a theme?
What was the inspiration behind the style of your wedding?
We decided that we wanted to take the traditional sit-down style wedding and make it as modern, classy and elegant as possible. The colour of the bridesmaids dresses – a bright coral – played a key part in our theme. We incorporated this colour and various shades into everything, from the invitations, to the flowers and the cake. Everything had to match!
Have you got any words of wisdom for other couples planning their big day?
Do as much preparation as possible leading up to the wedding. The more organised you are the less stressed you’ll be. Don’t be afraid to ask for the little things that will make your day that more special – if you don’t ask you won’t know. Remember on the day to take a few minutes for yourselves to take it all in – have fun and enjoy!
Talk us through your attire – what did you wear and what was your inspiration?
I wore a Stella York dress with Badgley Mischka jewelled heels. I wanted something elegant and modern dress and came across my dress in a bridal magazine. I wasn’t sure if the style would suit me, but it was the first dress that I tried on and it was just meant to be.
The bridesmaids dresses were from Forever New. I was in Melbourne with my sisters and mum looking for a dress to wear to our engagement party when I came across the perfect bridesmaids dresses. I wasn’t even looking for them but I knew straight away that they were the ones! They were a bright coral colour – the perfect pop of colour for our summer wedding.
Ash and the boys wore Peter Jackson suits. We wanted navy suits because it was a summer wedding. The suit was in the window of Peter Jackson when we walked past. It was the first suit Ash tried on and we knew pretty quickly they were it.

Let’s talk about your vendors. What was it like working with them? Would you recommend them?
Flowers & Styling:
The Eternal Vase – After the first meeting with Miranda I could tell she knew exactly what I had envisaged for the bouquets, centrepieces and table arrangements – in fact for the entire feel of the wedding we were after! She was literally finishing off my sentences and I knew everything was going to be exactly how I had imagined. They were fantastic to deal with and definitely pulled off the wow-factor we wanted when guests entered the Fernery room.
Photographer:
Studio House Photography – A Melbourne based photographer who is a lifelong friend of Amanda’s family. He went above and beyond to capture our day, which is going to make choosing the photos for our wedding album incredibly difficult. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at a few photos before leaving for our honeymoon and they were amazing. We’re so excited to receive the proofs.
Videographer:
Richtone Media – We first met Richard at a bridal expo. After meeting with him we knew that he was the perfect person to film our day. Richard is one the nicest people you could ever meet which made us feel so relaxed on the day, and his work is exceptional. We absolutely loved our wedding trailer, it was such a great way to sum up the special moments of our day.
Cake:
Cupcake Ally – Based in Swan Hill, Alison made our engagement cake which we were very happy with. We loved her work so we didn’t hesitate in asking her to make our wedding cake – even if she did have to travel two hours to deliver it to Bendigo! She did an amazing job in creating our three-tiered, chocolate mud and red velvet cake, it looked spectacular and it tasted delicious. The Eternal Vase provided the cake topper which was a bouquet of flowers to match my bouquet and the cake featured as a focal point in front of the bridal table.

Entertainment:
Music Acoustic Trio – We had listened to Micka and the band play several times at the Bridge Hotel and we loved their work. Ash and I love to have a bit of a dance so we wanted to make sure everyone danced at our wedding and we knew Music Acoustic Trio would make this happen – and they did! The dance floor was packed the entire night – exactly what we wanted!
Signwriting:
Little Hill Lettering – A friend of mine has a natural talent for sign writing so it was only fitting that I asked her to use her magic and create some signs for our day. Sarah did such a good job with our welcome sign and quotes and it just made the reception that much more personal to Ash and I.
Celebrant:
Father Peter Hudson – Father Peter was the priest in Swan Hill when Amanda was growing up. He is now based in Horsham and we were privileged to have someone who knew both of us on a personal level to conduct our ceremony.
Stationery:
Lauren Dillon Designs – Lauren did our invitations and continued the theme when it came to our place cards, gift tags and menus. It was great to be able to have the style of our invites flow through to our actual wedding day.
Daniel & Bree’s Traditional Church Wedding

Names: Daniel and Brianna Nalder
Tell us a little about the two of you: We met in 2010 at university and have been together since then. Daniel is an administration officer and I’m (Brianna) a nurse. Daniel enjoys playing football, being active and fishing, while I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Daniel proposed on the 13th of November 2014, on an amazing spring night up the Eureka Sky Deck overlooking the city of Melbourne.
What was the inspiration behind the style of your wedding? It was a traditional style wedding. We got married at St Liborius Catholic Church – it was a beautiful place to hold a ceremony -followed by a sit down formal reception with family and friends.
Tell us about the reception:
Our reception was held at the All Seasons Hotel in the Conservatory, a stunning room that overlooks a garden. The food was amazing and our menu consisted of canapés, pork and lamb for entrée, steak and chicken for main and our wedding cake for dessert.

We chose the All Seasons as our venue as we had been to a wedding there before and thought it was a great place to hold a reception. We liked the design of the room and the lovely garden it has out the back.
Overall, it looked amazing and we were both very happy with it!
Talk us through your attire – what did you wear and what was your inspiration?
The dress I wore was a Demetrios wedding gown. It was a princess style wedding dress, as I wanted to have the fairytale ball-gown look!
The bridesmaids wore a dress by Australian brand, Tinaholy Couture. It was a stunning one shoulder gown in soft pink with a crystal belt around the waist. I chose this dress because my favourite colour is pink and I loved the design.
Daniel and the boys wore New England suits from Peter Anthony Menswear – white shirt and black tie. We wanted a traditional, smart look for the boys.

Let’s talk about your vendors. What was it like working with them? Would you recommend them?
Photographer/Videographer:
Ildiko of Ildiko Gagyor Photography was very friendly and we caught up for regular meetings to discuss how and where we would like our photos on the big day. Her photos were breathtaking and I would highly recommend her for any wedding.
Celebrant:
Our celebrant was Father Jun Jun Amaya from St Liborius Catholic Church in Eaglehawk. We had meetings on a regular basis before the wedding to go over our vows and to prepare us for marriage. They were very helpful at St Liborius Parish, always touching base with us, decorating the church on our wedding day and making us feel at ease. They were also very welcoming.
Flowers/Styling:
The Eternal Vase was very easy-going and always willing to help and work within our budget. They did an amazing job with our flowers and they also set up our reception and were fantastic at designing it the way I wanted!

Cake:
Country Cakes was very friendly and took us through different cake designs to match our wedding theme. I showed them a picture of the cake I wanted and they made the exact one. Best of all, it tasted delicious!
Beauty:
Hair by Haylee and Kristie of Kristie Hedington Hair and Makeup. They were both very easy to work with and did exactly what we wanted. Our hair and makeup was absolutely stunning and I’d recommend these two ladies to anyone getting married.
Stationery:
Bridal & Debutante Creations did our invites, ceremony books and place cards at our reception. They also gave us ribbon and jewels for our wedding cake. They were extremely helpful and we wouldn’t of had the wedding we did without them.

Entertainment:
Threeza Crowd played at our reception – they are a Bendigo based wedding band. They played at my sister’s wedding and were fantastic and they play a variety of music, everything from the Top 40, to the 60’s, right through to today. We had so many comments from guests saying how great they were.
And finally, have you got any words of wisdom for other couples planning their big day?
Be organised! Try to stress less because everything turns out in the end. Enjoy the day because it goes very quickly and remember the main reasons why you are getting married!

Sharee and Jake’s Boho Garden Wedding
Sharee and Jake shared their first kiss in a birthday party photo-booth, and little did they know that the sweet snap they captured would be the first of many!
These cuties tied the knot ‘neath the shade of an ancient oak in Rosalind Park, the perfect backdrop for the natural bohemian vibe they had envisaged. The Eternal Vase not only ensured there was an abundance of blooms, but they also provided props and decorative elements (though the manicured gardens of Rosalind Park hardly required decoration!)
We couldn’t love this babin’ bride’s Stella York gown more if we tried and the sweetheart neckline and contrasting belted bow is causing us some serious dress envy! In keeping with the bohemian theme, the girls at Jools for Jim let Sharee’s natural beauty take centre stage, with a simple up-do and glowing makeup
After the ceremony, our newlyweds and their guests carried on at the All Seasons Conservatory and Sharee says the venue couldn’t have been more perfect, “All Seasons Bendigo complimented the garden wedding idea with a beautiful private courtyard and ample space for all guests to feel comfortable.”
These sweethearts found their photographers in Sharee’s hometown of Mildura and they couldn’t speak more highly of the duo behind Attic Designs, “We love our photographers and they never miss a moment! They really know how to capture moments that come naturally throughout the day.” Sharee tells us, and judging by the stunning snaps, she is absolutely right!

Abbie & Ben’s Elegant All Seasons Wedding
We’d never considered the Commonwealth Games to be a place for budding romance – that is until we heard about Abbie and Ben. The pair were working as ball kids at the 2006 games and it was there on the hockey courts that they found one another. Five years on and with some long distance in between, Ben popped the question at home and the rest is history!
The two tied the knot at the All Seasons Hotel and Swan Hill based photographer, Cassie of Koko Photography was there to capture it all!
Now living in Melbourne, these sweethearts wanted to hold their wedding somewhere between the city and Abbie’s hometown of Swan Hill. Having previously lived here herself, Abbie tells us that Bendigo was an easy choice, “We wanted somewhere that could accommodate ceremony, reception and overnight accommodation and wanted to give our guests the opportunity to have a weekend away. The All Seasons Hotel offered all we were looking for. The staff were extremely helpful with our requests, the food was fantastic and nothing was too hard for the team.”
In a full-skirted gown with a sweetheart neckline (courtesy of Fairytales Boutique), Abbie made for a beautiful bride and when it came to theme, simplicity was key. The couple opted for natural, elegant styling and a primarily black and white colour palette. Pink, orange and white gerberas from The Eternal Vase added a pop of colour to the bouquets, as did the groomsmen’s bright fuschia ties.
“One of our favourite bits was just after our first dance.” Abbie tells us. “We were always told to take it all in because the day goes so quickly. We did our first dance, then both of our parents joined us, then our bridal party joined us and then everyone was invited to join us. At that moment Ben and I got off the dance floor and just took a moment to look at the reception and the people.”
Looking back, Abbie and Ben are grateful that they set aside that quiet moment to observe the loved ones who had gathered to celebrate their special day. Their advice to husbands and wives-to-be? “Everyone will have an opinion on what you are doing. Make your own big choices around your wedding but compromise on the small ones.”
